Case Study: An Indoor-Outdoor Kitchen Designed for Entertaining
For this Chiswick residence, our wider design team at Home Living Group conceived both the indoor and outdoor kitchens as complementary expressions of one unified vision. Completed in March 2025, this project embodies our philosophy: spaces that are as intelligently connected as they are meticulously detailed.
A Conversation Between Spaces
The indoor kitchen’s 6.5m run of fluted walnut cabinetry and Taj Mahal quartzite worktops finds its natural counterpart in the outdoor kitchen’s brushed aluminium cabinetry and Dekton Lunar worktop – the 20mm thickness with waterfall edge providing both durability and visual continuity. Dark brass accents echo between both spaces, while the Wolf 5-burner gas grill and dedicated Kamado Joe station outside mirror the Miele-powered precision of the interior cooking zone.
Seamless Function, Whatever the Weather
Measuring 3230mm × 740mm, the Outopia outdoor kitchen was selected not just for its sleek profile but for its ability to withstand British seasons – its powder-coated aluminium construction concealing generous storage for grilling tools and servingware. The layout was carefully configured to allow the host to move effortlessly between the indoor quartzite island and outdoor cooking station – a flow perfected during our frequent site visits to address builder queries and terrain challenges.
Precision Where It Matters Most
When the patio’s uneven surface threatened to compromise the installation, our craftsmen spent days meticulously levelling each cabinet leg – an invisible solution that typifies our approach. The reward is a space where guests naturally gather at the outdoor counter’s illuminated bar area.

The client is thrilled with the outcome, appreciating not only the functionality but also the way the outdoor kitchen blends effortlessly with their home’s overall design.
